| I think James was the bigger jerk, because if he wasn't a jerk, Snape wouldn't have been one back. James was all like "MWHAHAHADHFLA;JKAHAHAHA! I'm keeping Lily all to myself! Nananananananananana!" Like a preschooler. Then Snape's life just like shattered and so he's like "Fine, you're a jerk to me, I'll be a jerk to your son, the son that should've been mine." |

| Yeah James was a jerk, but Snape loved Lily and surely she wouldn't want to see him being such a huge horrible jerk to Harry. Lily loved Harry more then everyone and everything, she gave her life for the boy, if Snape respected Lily at all then he'd have treated Harry how she would have wanted him too and not to get revenge for something Harry had no influence on _________________ CHARITY SKYDIVE |

| True, but even if he wasn't nice to Harry, he was extremly loyal to a lot of other people (ex: Dumbledore, and sort of Lily as well, he may have been a jerk to Harry but he still loved her) |
